Northwood went down, in a game littered with fouls, 6-2 to a more aggressive Slough team. After an encouraging start the Woods went two goals up, but defensive frailties were exposed and due to individual errors Slough took full advantage to score six without further reply from the Woods.

On an attacking front, Northwood looked good, with fine displays by Romaine Walker and Stefan Khailat. It was Walker who set up Khailat to open the scoring in the 12th minute. He again dribbled his way past defenders to give Assambalonga goal number two.

However within 5 minutes George Torpey fired the first of Slough's goals in from 25 yards, and shortly after Mo Sharriff added the equaliser, after wriggling past some half-hearted tackles. Before half time Torpey and Mendy had added two more to send the Woods in at half-time 4-2 behind.

Walker was denied a goal by a dubious offside decision on the hour, then Slough scored two more due to poor defending, through Lucas and Torpey. In the 88th minute Cole-Parkes was denied a third Woods goal when his header hit the underside of the bar and was scrambled away.

The scoreline flattered Slough somewhat, as the Woods attack certainly deserved more from the game.
